Frozen maduros, frozen tostones, IQF ripe plantain slices and IQF green plantain chunks. Custom cuts, pack formats and private label are available on request.
Maduros are made from ripe plantains and are soft and sweet when cooked. Tostones are made from green plantains that are fried, flattened and fried again, which makes them crisp and savory, similar to a thick chip.
Use maduros for sweet side dishes with rice, beans and meats, and for breakfast and dessert plates. Use tostones for appetizers and savory sides. Use ripe slices when you want to cook and portion plantains your own way. Use green chunks for soups, stews and mashed plantain dishes.
