Frozen Banana Sourcing & Documentation

Fresh bananas move from green to overripe in days, which makes ripeness and waste hard to control in a busy kitchen. Frozen bananas are peeled, cut and frozen at the right ripeness, so every case has the same sweetness and creamy texture with no peeling and no spoiled fruit.

Every order is backed by the paperwork your QA team asks for. Product-specific COAs, allergen statements and facility audit documentation are available on request, and USDA Organic formats are available too.

Food safety is where our work starts. Our FSQA team holds every supplier to strict standards, from the soil the product is grown in to how it is harvested, handled, processed, stored and shipped. We work with farms and processing facilities certified to GFSI-recognized standards such as SQF, BRCGS and FSSC 22000, and we verify them with in-house checklists and third-party inspections. We love food, and we source every ingredient as if it were going on our own table. Product-specific COAs, allergen statements and audit documentation are available on request.

Frozen Banana FAQs

What frozen banana formats do you supply?

IQF banana slices, IQF banana chunks, IQF diced bananas and frozen banana purée. Custom cuts, pack formats and private label are available on request.

Which frozen banana format should I use?

Use slices for smoothies, toppings and desserts where you want even portions. Use chunks when you want the thickest, creamiest texture in smoothies and frozen desserts. Use diced bananas for banana bread, muffins and fillings. Use purée for beverages, baby food and formulations that need a smooth base.

Why use frozen bananas instead of fresh?

Frozen bananas are already peeled, cut and at the right ripeness, so there is no ripening, no peeling labor and no waste from overripe fruit. They also make smoothies thick and cold without extra ice.

Do frozen bananas turn brown?

Cut bananas brown when exposed to air, so processors protect color before freezing. Keep product frozen until use and ask for the spec sheet for color and treatment details.

How should frozen bananas be stored and handled?

Keep frozen bananas at 0°F (-18°C) or colder. IQF pieces can go straight from the freezer into blenders and batters. Thaw purée under refrigeration, and do not refreeze product once it has thawed.

Do you offer organic frozen bananas?

Yes. USDA Organic formats are available on request.

Where do you ship frozen bananas?

We ship to all 50 states. Our cold storage network lets us deliver to distribution centers nationwide.
